Three titans of the keyboard are born today:
Arturo Benedetti Michelangeli (Brescia, January 5, 1920), Alfred Brendel (Wiesenberg, January 5, 1931), and Maurizio Pollini (Milan, January 5, 1942).
Honoring their memory means returning to what they told us through their playing, to what they contributed to the history of musical interpretation throughout time.
After all, January 5th can only be Piano Day.
