An Holy Grail on Cr2 Philips cassettes

I loved and cherished an original pressing of this double discs-set since I was a kid, and decade after decade, I learned to appreciate it more and more as my music-understanding improved.

Yesterday I found this gem, a sealed copy of this seminal, timeless masterpiece, on Philips double cassettes-box.

The sound on Nakamichi 1000 XZL is simply master-tape like🥇🥇🥇

Two new tapes out on Triston Switzerland

Jürg Schopper strikes again… I sooooo much appreciated the two limited edition vinyl discs, masterfully played, recorded and produced and now!

The 15 IPS double-reels box set are here!

If you and your tape-machines are hungry of great music (both recordings were recorded on Studer C37) and the sound is the very best you can imagine or wish… and most of all: this is real music played by the very best, a 100% analog handicraft.

Kudos to herr Schopper and his team for the effort 🥇🥂🥇

Musica Rara

Proudly made in UK… class in spades in music, performance and recording but also in fonts, printing quality, paper and carton choices…

From the goldmine collection 🥇

A masterpiece 🥇

Beginning from Mario Moletti’s cover artwork to music to recording quality (by Wolfgang Hirschmann), this very disc goes in the Olympus of my musique concrete collection.

This disc came with a quite nice “attachment” from previous owner - i.e. a newspaper shred with a KHS’ interview during an early ‘70s happening in Milan… funny the verso of the newspaper cut-out shows a weird advice: a truck load of hand-cream tubes was stolen and the maker bewares about reckless purchases! 😱

A very musical Monday 🎶🎶🎶

The “hard” collector’s life 😏

Handling, cleaning, appraising and most of all, listening to these gems is salt to life.

… more Rundbogen 🎶

Thanking Len 🙏🥂🥇🙏

Must dig the topic… so weird and fascinating 🎶

A picture for describing music?

This one:

Gibson L5-CES (1976)

Breaking news - DaVa FC Reference

Darius Valiunas, cartridge maker extraordinaire, made it, again!

If this cartridge will “only” play a - say - 10% better (more detail, slam, drama, whatever…) of original DaVa FC1A… pretty sure we’ll have a serious contender for The Cartridge Olympus 💎

Bravo to Darius 🥂🎶🥂🥇🎶

Rundbogen

I spent 63 years on Planet Earth without even knowing about this very obscure (I don’t speak any German😏) word and musical tool.

Rundbogen is German for this curved bow!

Leave alone knowing a curved bow wasn’t only used in ancient, medieval music on violin ancestors… but looking at this record cover I got a shiver!

I’m now chasing for this Calig German pressing, out of curiosity 😏

Edward Grieg’s piano music, on this very day-date, 43 years ago!

I always remains amazed when I play a disc recorded as of today-date…

The Norwegian musician 🥇

It’s weird fractal casualties, yet…

😊

P.S. - a first class recording, as many Bis’ discs: recorded on a Revox A77 HS and Electret Sennheiser mikes, it simply sounds like a Bösendorfer’s should sound 🥇
