This very disc is so peaceful and poetic and the music contained in its grooves so nicely dresses the space and time changes, the clock stops and you hear birds singing, outside.
Vashti’s trembling voice and sparse instruments suggest to an amateur-like approach to music and performance, but it’s - instead - very human-sized and the whole creates a very private, dreamy and humble, yet beautiful soundscape.
It would be a colossal error considering distilled simplicity as naivety! Less is more, indeed.
It’s impressionistic and pastoral…
… and I love it.
💫
P.S. - recording quality is up-to par with the beauty of music 🥇
