E. M. G.

EMG was founded in 1924 by E.M. Gene, who established a handmade phonograph company in London. Initially, they made desktop phonographs, but around 1928, they released the Mark VIII, which had a huge horn with a diameter of 60 cm.

This horn was made by stacking paper multiple times, and it was called the Papier Mâché. Incidentally, this paper was made by stacking old London phone books multiple times.

The item in the picture is a huge horn with a diameter of 74 cm and a soundbox, which is an expert-grade phonograph with four springs.

Depending on the model, there were several types of arms, soundboxes, and coil motors.
