Yes, two Linda: Waterfall and Perhacs… two young ladies in their early twenties who recorded two delicate, ethereal, haunting records, voice, acoustic guitar, both with very sparse accompaniment, some percussion here and there, some polite synth, flute, but basically guitar and voice.
What makes these records special?
The out-of-the-choir character, the songs are strange, unlike any other Joan Baez or Joni Mitchell… the two Linda’s created their own psych folk without copy-catting.
Linda Perhacs’ Parallelograms and Linda Waterfall’s Mary’s Garden aren’t so easily found, these days and they can get pricey, but Discogs helps.
Give these discs a listen… you won’t regret.
