ICMA Lifetime Achievement Award for Gidon Kremer
Today, the Jury of the International Classical Music Awards (ICMA) announced the winners of the awards for the 2025 edition. Gidon Kremer receives a prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award.
The International Classical Music Awards were first awarded April 6, 2011. The jury consists of music critics of international classical music magazines, radio stations and other media.
The winners receive the ICMA trophies during the annual Award Ceremony that will take place at the Tonhalle in Düsseldorf, on 19 March 2025. This evening will also include a Gala Concert with the participation of several of the winners and the Düsseldorfer Symphoniker conducted by Adam Fischer. Anna Gourari will perform the last movement of Paul Hindemith's "Four Temperaments" for piano and string orchestra.
Gidon Kremer’s latest recording for ECM New Series, ‘Songs Of Fate’, was released in January 2024.
