The Most Expensive Record Set of classical Music in the World at that time (sold for USD 20,000.00 in nov 11, 2007 - eBay#230187288018)





Bach / Complete Suites for Unaccompanied Cello BWV 1007-1012 / André Levy, Cello Solo / FR / Lumen LD 3447-3448-3449 Red Grooved Label (Gravure Monaurale) Matrix LDY 817 through LDY 822 with all the three labels autographed by Andre Levy in a DeLuxe 3 Record Set Box with Individual Flip Back Laminated Covers and Booklet.



"The French cellist André Levy was born in Paris in 1894. He  studied cello at the Paris Conservatoire with Jules Loëb and also chamber music with Camille Chevillard and was a first prize winner in 1912. He spent a great deal of his life teaching, after the war at the École Normale de Musique de Paris. In 1952 he got together with the pianist Geneviève Joy and violinist Jeanne Gautier to form the Trio de France. He died in 1982".
