Studer C37’s humblest part? 💫

 

Sure not as valuable as a mint heads-block but not less rare… yet, quite useful, as well!

I only recently found that isn’t necessary to insert a finger in C37’s receptacle (see pictures above) to reset the tape-counter, but existed this humble, cleverly made small handle protruding to make reset easier!

Funny myself and other C37’s owners didn’t notice the tiny threaded hole made for this handle!

The new ones are individually lathed out of premium stainless-steel, while original - 60+ years old - is barely showing some rust on thread as made of lesser material.

To my experience, I only found a single sampler of this part out of 15+ C37s’ I handled: I guess these get lost quite often, soon becoming unobtainable everywhere 😳

A little, sought-after gizmo, indeed.
