Here is a 1947 Gibson J-50.
This one has had a rough life, but it never gave up. There are some questionable old repairs keeping it going, yet underneath all of that is one of the most inspiring J-series Gibsons I’ve ever played.
And if it looks familiar, there’s a reason... Bob Dylan played a ’47 J-50 just like this one.
Another neat detail: 1947 was the only year the J-50 wore this banner-less script logo, which gives these their own little spot in Gibson history.
