I've got so many Evan P. recordings that when I saw this advertised I thought I would probably give it a miss... But your posting it reminded me and I also saw that the Free Jazz Collective reviewed it in glowing terms (here: https://www.freejazzblog.org/2026/03/evan-parker-paul-rogers-louis-moholo.html) so I ended up ordering a copy. I love Evan's duet/duo improvs with pianists and one of my favourites -- for its delicacy and detail -- is Two Chapters & an Epilogue, with John Tilbury (2000). I think there are three things that we can be sure of in this life: death; taxes; and there always being more Evan P. to explore...

https://twogoodears.blogspot.com/2025/08/weird-music-evan-parker.html - this remains a Desert Island box and a monumental opus, Alun 💫

^^^ Ah -- the box... No, I have resisted it because I seriously wonder whether I would ever get round to playing all of it.

Incidentally, another recent favourite -- did you buy it? -- is All Knavery and Collusion: Evan Parker Qt (EP: saxes, Alexander Hawkins: piano, John Edwards: bass, Paul Lytton: drums); recorded Rimshot Studio, Sittingbourne Kent. And it's on LP!

Thanks for your suggestion… the box is just a pleasure to handle and to own…
