Musical (forgotten) treasures - Jackson C. Frank

... as Castle Records recently reissued a much sought-after, virtually unavailable in eons, recording - his one and only - here are some Wikifacts about the late Jackson C. Frank, a man and a musician whose misfortune and flawed fate are on same par of his art and skill as a poet, a singer and a songwriter.

Huge!

He was a musician's musician, as Bert Jansch, John Renbourn, Nick Drake and many others covered his seminal "Blues run the Game" and other songs... and his art was so sincere a single disc in 1965 (produced by a young Paul Simon, while in London) was enough to make him a cult figure, forever.

The recent reissue, also including home, private recordings and out-takes from those 1965 sessions, makes his art to (too briefly) shine again... since next oblivion.

He was 56 when he died.
