The Faience Violin by Jules Champfleury or the Art of Collecting
Jules Champfleury's The Faience Violin on Amazon
This very book was hinted to me many years ago by a fellow records collector... I read it in the cool Sellerio Editore - Palermo italian version.
Written in 1877, it's after and concerning some aspects involved in collecting... search for power, ownership, possession (?!?!), envy... but maybe - deeply said - ability and love for search and self-amusement and enjoyment.
Isn't this about Life?
A very, VERY enriching reading... also collecting pebbles will be not the same, anymore, after this very book.
