James Turrell's Roden Crater, Arizona

... what an alien, visionary place, folks...

... not far from Flagstaff, New Mexico, close to Arizona border: a volcano re-worked in 30 years by a man whose goal was giving emotion and freeing energy of Mother Nature.

A shrine.

A church without a Pope.

The truest... the only...

Next time...

Arizona is one of the most beautiful places I have driven through in the USA. Sedona, Flagstaff, and Winslow are just out of this world. The meteor crater in Winslow was my favorite site.

It was fun driving through Roswell in the middle of the night.

Nice photograph. Hitchiked through Arizona and all of the USA several times back in the 7os.
